Vietnam-headquartered solar PV manufacturer Boviet Solar Technology has expanded its Greenville, North Carolina, facility in the US with a 3rd PV module production line. This boosts the company’s annual production capacity from 2 GW to 3 GW.  

The addition of the 3rd line strengthens its ability to meet the growing demand for domestically produced solar products while supporting US clean energy goals, stated the manufacturer. The Greenville fab, phase I of the company’s production plans, was commissioned in April 2025 with a 2 GW annual nameplate production capacity to produce the company’s Gamma Series Monofacial and Vega Series Bifacial solar modules .  

Boviet Solar has also completed exterior construction of its solar PV cell manufacturing facility in Greenville, which forms Phase II of the company’s production plans. Planned to host 3 GW annual cell capacity, it is on track to begin mass production in 2026, it adds. 

“With 3.0 GW of module capacity and the upcoming PV cell factory, we are expanding domestic manufacturing, investing in local communities, and advancing national renewable energy goals,” said President of Boviet Solar USA, Sienna Cen.  

Combined, Boviet Solar’s Greenville facilities will deliver 3 GW of PV cell capacity and 3 GW of module capacity in the US. The Greenville factory represents more than $400 million in total capital investment and will create more than 1,300 skilled local jobs on full ramp-up, shares the producer.
